Most hosting puts many customers on one server and hands them a general-purpose panel. We built the platform the other way round.
Isolated by design
- Every site runs in its own isolated environment, with its own CPU, memory, storage, network rules and dedicated database.
- Network rules stop one site from reaching any other site on the platform, so a problem stays where it started.
- We tested it: with one site pinned at 100% CPU, the site next to it stayed within measurement noise; a site driven out of memory was stopped at its own limit while its neighbour kept serving every request.
Built for WordPress
- We host WordPress only, so every layer, from the web server and PHP to caching and the dashboard, is set up for it rather than adapted from generic hosting.
- WordPress core, PHP and the web server are baked into a read-only image; only your content changes. Updates roll out as new instances behind health checks, with no downtime.
- Your images and uploads aren't stored on your web server. They live on replicated object storage and are served straight from there, without going through WordPress, so loading them never takes computing power away from your pages, and a server failure never loses them.
- The dashboard manages WordPress sites, not a server: staging, plugins, logs, firewall events and cost, per site.

Choosing between us
Neither host is right for everyone. Here is where each one is the better choice.
Pointer is the better fit if
- You want your site on servers physically in Greece. Pointer's are; ours are in Germany and Finland.
- You want unlimited mailboxes included, or cPanel specifically.
- You have a simple site and are happy to prepay two years for the lowest monthly price.
Grandhosting is the better fit if
- You want daily backups kept for 30 days, with one-click restore, instead of a backup every two days kept for 14.
- Your site has busy days. On Standard it adds instances by itself and fails over to another server.
- You want a staging copy on every site to test updates before they go live.
- You want to pay month to month without paying more per month for it.
- You want email that doesn't live on your hosting plan: our mailboxes run on a dedicated email platform and start at 8 GB, where Pointer's are 1 GB each.

How fast a WordPress site feels also depends on caching, PHP resources and what happens under load, which is where we focus.
