You top up your wallet with a minimum of 10 €. Every site has a base fee starting at 3.49 €/month for a single low-traffic instance. On top of that, we measure your CPU and memory usage every hour and deduct the cost from your balance. If your site uses minimal resources, you pay the base fee. If traffic spikes and your site scales up across multiple instances, you pay for the additional usage. You can enable auto-recharge so your wallet refills automatically when the balance gets low.

Your site auto-scales. When CPU usage exceeds 70%, additional server instances launch within seconds. You pay for the additional compute only while those instances are running. Once traffic normalizes, instances scale back down automatically. There are no compute overage charges or surprise fees — you pay only for resources while they run. Note: storage beyond the included 10 GB does incur an overage charge (€0.10/GB-month). A low-traffic site that never needs to scale simply stays on its single instance and its base fee.

The system scales automatically. If your WooCommerce store normally uses 1 CPU and gets a Black Friday spike, Grandhosting scales to as many CPUs as needed — 4, 8, 10 — in about 15 seconds. When traffic normalizes, it scales back down. You pay only for the extra resources during the spike. A low-traffic site that never sees sudden high-traffic events simply stays on its single instance.

Every account has three built-in tools: real-time usage with a projected month-end total, configurable spending alerts (we email you at an amount or percentage you choose), and a hard spending cap. With a cap set, we throttle a site as it nears your limit and pause it at the limit, so it can never bill beyond what you allow — it resumes automatically next month. All of this is optional, off by default, and managed from your dashboard.

As spending approaches the cap, we automatically throttle the site's scaling; if it reaches the cap, the site is paused (a reversible suspend) so it cannot bill any further. It restores on its own at the start of the next month, or as soon as you raise the cap. The cap floor matches the plan's base fee.
